"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."
- Helen Keller
Education and Background
I earned my degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco in 2012. I am a licensed therapist regulated by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in the state of California.
I am particularly passionate about helping individuals who are neurodivergent or have similar experiences. As a licensed professional with a disability, I understand the importance of actively listening to my client's stories and providing them with the necessary support to discover their inner strength, hope, and light.
During my spare time, I enjoy quality time with my family and two dogs. I find time to play the piano, sing Karaoke, and cook delicious meals for my family.
Professional Development
I began my career as a residential counselor for a group home that catered to individuals with Autism and developmental disabilities. Working closely with an LMFT and BCBA, I learned to create individualized treatment and behavior support plans. Later, in 2008, I was promoted to Program Manager for a group home, where I honed my supervisory skills under the guidance of a BCBA and Psychiatrist.
After a few years, I changed my career path and started working for mental health agencies. I spent over 3 years working in an inpatient and outpatient facility and a group home specializing in transitional-aged youths, acute care patients, and dual diagnosis. As an ABA company's clinical director, I provided psychoeducation and counseling to caregivers to help children manage difficult emotions and cope with stressors while fostering meaningful interactions. I have over 10 years of experience counseling and educating people affected by depression, anxiety, eating disorders, learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, Autism, and ADHD. My experience spans across all levels of development and age groups, ranging from 18 months to 67 years of age.
